Long Sutton started the game well with well worked attacking moves from within their defensive half. Although managing to keep Harleston at bay with only a handful of attacking moves, kept out with great kicking from Lorraine Wallis. The defence was put under pressure towards the end of the half but with help from player of the match Hannah Greenacre in midfield was able to keep them at bay. That was until a break away from a Harleston counter attack and the ball was slotted in. After the break Sutton pressed hard for an equaliser with some great attacking runs from Leanne Woodhead, Charlene Leuty and Becky Kierman. Unfortunately a head injury meant that Woodhead had to sit the rest of the game out, but with help from replacement Katie Ireland, Sutton continued to attack well. A string of short corners resulted in Harleston getting their second, a well worked corner routine hit wide and put in on the post. Sutton continued to work well together looking for a goal. Another short corner for the home team resulted in another goal but this time an own one, a deflection off a Sutton stick in front of the keeper sent her the wrong way to finish the game.
Although a 3-0 defeat this did not reflect the game as Long Sutton had some good attacking moves but couldn't capitalise. Overall a good team display.
