Leanne Woodhead  double secures Long Sutton ladies first team a much needed win.

Long Sutton dominated this fixture but found it hard to get the goals as Ipswich defended well and were assisted by their goal keeper who was in fine form. Long Sutton eventually  got the break through 10 minutes before half time when the Sutton defence broke an Ipswich attack  and from a swift breakaway  a string of smart passes put Leanne Woodhead  through in front of goal and she made no mistake  with a crisp shot firmly into the Ipswich goal.

Shortly into the second half, Woodhead  increased Suttons lead pouncing  on an opportunity  to make it 2-0 to the home side . However, the extended lead was short-lived , as Ipswich managed to break the Sutton defence scoring from close range. At 2-1 it looked for a time that Sutton could allow Ipswich to draw level, but Sarah Walker settled  Suttons nerves with 15 minutes to go, taking her opportunity  to coolly  lift the ball over the sprawling keeper for a very well taken goal. Lorraine Wallis in the Sutton goal made a number of smart saves to ensure Long Sutton took the vital three points. Player of the match was Sarah Walker for her fine performace and goal.
