Long Sutton's discipline cost them in this Prem B fixture. Playing a Ramgharia team with electric stick skills was going to be tough but Sutton were up to the challenge. Sutton worked hard in the first half and a great team barrier thwarted anything Ramgharia had to offer even when Sutton were reduced to ten men as Andy Shore was sent to the sin bin. Jake Loweth was on fine form after flying in fresh from a conditioning break in Ibiza, making a number of high class saves and kept Sutton in the game saving a penalty flick. 0-0 half time. Sutton started the second half the brighter and created a few chances. Sutton then lost skipper Harrison to the sin bin and Ramgharia capitalised by opening the scoring. Sutton kept together and played some lovely hockey but found it difficult to penetrate a solid Ramgharia defence. Sutton then lost their third player to a yellow card and Ramgharia got lucky as a Loweth save fell agonisingly to an attacker who had the open goal at his mercy and made it 2-0. Sutton will take a lot of heart from this performance and with better discipline next week will be tough opposition for Waltham Forest.
