Sutton started brightly in this Prem B fixture and immediately threatened the Crostyx goal but couldn't find the net. Crostyx then started to apply some pressure and Sutton dropped deeper and deeper for a period of time allowing Crostyx to open the scoring. Sutton had small bursts of good play and created good opportunities to equalise and take the lead but couldn't convert. Crostyx took control again and added two more goals before Sutton managed to score just before half-time, Nick Ellis smashing the ball home from a short corner. 3-1 half time. Sutton started the second half at a much higher tempo and with more purpose, Gary Hales finding space time and time again and with his team linking up well it was only a matter of time before Sutton struck again. Crostyx went down to 10 and Sutton pounced, ripping them open and it was no surprise when Hales fired in Sutton's second. Sutton were rampant and playing some of the best hockey of the game and delivered the best goal of the game. Whatling and Allen linking up well to find Andy Shore, he found Hales who directed to Sisson to slot home. A great team goal. Sutton continued to push forward for the winner but lady luck, which has deserted them all season, was playing away from home again as Crostyx were awarded a penalty stroke. They converted to take the lead. Sutton pushed hard for an equaliser going all out attack which allowed Crostyx to get a fifth. The scoreline was extremely harsh as Sutton deserved at least a point from another hard working team effort.
