Spicy Sisson too hot for Magpies!

Danny Sisson netted 5 times on Saturday in this Prem B fixture as Sutton once again showed why they are Lincolnshire's finest.

Harleston started well, however, and threatened the Sutton goal but after 5 minutes Sutton ignited! Sutton's slick passing, pace and tireless movement was too much for Magpies to handle. Sisson got his first in a fortunate manner,  his goal bound shot took a deflection and looped into the goal. The whole Sutton team were working hard to close Magpies down and turned the ball over with lightening speed which Magpies were powerless to stop. Whatling flew down the right wing after some great team build up and laid the ball on a plate for Sisson to add his second. Harrison continued his goal scoring form minutes later as he calmly slotted home through the keepers legs after another good ball from Whatling. Sisson was then handed another open goal as another slick passing move from Sutton opened Magpies up and he didn't miss to complete his hat-trick. Some great work from Hardy gave Sutton a penalty stroke as he glided past the keeper but his goal bound shot was stopped by a foot. Harrison stepped up and slotted home to add Sutton's fifth and his second of the match. Sisson was not done and again Sutton's team work came alive, carving through Magpies allowing another tap in. 6-0 HT.
Magpies came at Sutton in the second half and Sutton were not able to keep the electric pace they set early on. However Taylor, Baguley and Belding were in no mood to concede and thwarted the Magpies attacks. After some good defending and recuperating Sutton found their form again, Cook robbing balls all over the pitch allowed another great passing move. Featherstone made a lovely run and laid the ball in front of goal for Batten to score his first goal for the team. Sutton were then unlucky to concede and lose their clean sheet as the ball bobbled through the D to an awaiting attacker on the far post. Sutton were not happy and this ignited them once again for the final few minutes and Harrison launched an aerial pass to Fyson who controlled it beautifully and fired the ball across to find yet again the awaiting Sisson to slap home and complete his and Sutton's goal feast!  A fantastic team display full of energy, discipline and superb effort allowed Sutton to dominate and rightly get their rewards. Man of the match award goes to Sisson for his goals but every Sutton player had a great game.
