Sutton ended the year with a well deserved victory in this Prem B fixture. Sutton came out the traps flying, passing the ball with speed and playing with a high intensity. Stortford got men behind the ball and made it hard for Sutton to create clear chances with a packed D. Sutton took their foot off the gas for a period of time which allowed Stortford into the game although they never really threatened the Sutton goal. Danny Sisson broke the deadlock, after some good play from Featherstone and Cook. Shore and Belding got forward well supporting the strikers and their efforts were rewarded just before half time as Sutton worked a well drilled short corner allowing Sisson to get his second. 2-0 HT.

The second half saw Sutton up their pace and dominate for long periods. Sisson completed his hat trick after some excellent team work and then Fyson got in on the act again with some top work from his team mates. Sutton controlled the play, spraying it around all areas of the pitch in a confident manner. Stortford managed a consolation goal from a short corner, the ball hitting Featherstones foot then Fysons hand before bobbling through Kirkhams legs in a fortuitous way. Sutton responded well upping the tempo again and working another short corner  well to allow Sisson to add his fourth and Suttons fifth. Another dominant team display leaves Sutton fifth in the table at Christmas and gives them real hope for the remainder of the season to push higher up the league although they will have to do it without the imperious Fetherstone who goes on his travels AGAIN! We wish him all the best.
