In horrible, blustery conditions, Sutton started slowly and found themselves two goals down albeit in fortuitous circumstances early on. Sutton finally started to come into the game and dominate possession. Some great work from Sisson saw him intercept the ball, round the last defender and smash home on his reverse. Sutton continued to threaten but couldn't penetrate Felixstowe's deep wall, however the excellent defence of Sutton thwarted Felixstowe's long ball plan to keep it at 2-1 going into halftime.

The second saw Sutton dominate even more and most of the game was played in the Felixstowe half. Felixstowe kept 9 players behind the ball and made it hard for Sutton to break down. Felixstowe again deployed their long ball game to little affect as Sutton pressed and pressed. Felixstowe defended well and strong and Sutton couldn't break down the defensive wall. Sutton will feel disappointed not to have got more out of this fixture as they played some great hockey and dominated large parts of the game.
