In the heat of the mid-day sun the Sutton 2nd eleven produced their best display of hockey of the season.  With Mr Utility, Stefan Fox moving to the back Sutton maintained a tight back line.  Following the previous weeks lack lustre display Sutton hit the floor running against a disciplined Horncastle side.  It wasn't long before Dan Batten was found open in the D and cooly dispatched the opening goal of the game.  Sutton went into halftime 4-1 up following 3 short corners 2 put away by Ben Shore and 1 by Jeremy Watt.

The second half started slowly with Suttons defense falling a sleep to allow Horncastle to reduce the arrears to 4-2. Fortunately this woke up the beast and Sutton moved up a gear.  With man of the match, the second teams mr smiley Andy Shore linking the play in the centre of the park ably assisted by Watt, Suttons men marched on to score a further 7!! Goals.  3 more for Ben Shore, 2 for Andy Shore and 2 for Nick Bailey.  Captain Matt Holmes
commented "I'm proud of the boys performance today and hope we can continue with the same form for the last 4 games of the season"
