Sutton entertained high flying Cambridge in this top of the table clash.

Sutton started well and were awarded a penalty flick when a goal bound Alex Canham shot was kicked off the line, however the Cambridge keeper guessed correctly and saved the flick from Ben Shore. This raised Cambridge's spirit and in a 15 minute spell they took a 3 goal lead, Sutton being guilty of some poor defending and a general inability to keep the ball. The score at half time was 3-0 and Cambridge looked good value for their lead.

Following the break, Sutton were a different side with MOTM Charles Hardy at the heart of everything good in their midfield and stand-in skipper Stef Fox standing tall at the back. It was no surprise when Adam Wiles reduced the arrears and then added a 2nd to give the game the close finish it deserved. Cliff in goal remained alert to the Cambridge break-aways and Sutton continued to pressurise the away team, however the final ball never quite arrived and the Sutton side were left to rue 15 minutes of madness which had cost them the game.
