Sutton 2nds travelled to Wisbech to face Towns 3rds, hoping to break their run of losses against top of the table teams and get back to winning ways. From the pushback Suttons intent was clear, but Wisbech were not going to go down without a fight. Sutton opened the scoring with last week, and again this week's motm Andy Shore converting a short corner.

The other Shore, Ben, showing signs of returning to scoring ways, linking well with his brother to deflect a sizzling ball into the wisbech goal taking Sutton to the break 2-0 up, however Sutton were making hard work of it, Holmes & Gavaghan particularly strong at the back and needed to step up a gear in the second half to put the match to bed, the second half brought an improvement in team effort and better hockey played, resulting in Jason Mallett following up on saved Andy Shore shot to complete the third and final goal and sealing the victory for Sutton. A good team effort throughout.
