Harleston ended Suttons run in this Trophy with a 7-0 victory on Sunday.

The Suffolk team, boasting National League Players and Ex-Internationals were just too good for Suttons Mixed XI. Sutton started well and held their own for the first 20 minutes, even then the score remained only 1-0 until the stroke of half time when Harleston scored a second which was the goal that ultimately sealed the tie. Ash Taylor in defence, Laura Temple and Jess Hudson in midfield and the impressive Josh Thody in goal worked tirelessly in the first half to keep Sutton in the game.

In the second half Harleston imposed their class and experience on the game and whilst they were worthy winners, Sutton fought gamely and perhaps the final scoreline flattered the visitors a little. Whilst Suttons goalkeeper and defence, with the exception of Taylor, did not reach the heights of the first half, it will have been good experience for the young players to take into their regular matches.

Sutton did manage to threaten on occasions, driven on by Stef Fox and the ceaseless running of Player of the Match Lisa Baker, both Captain Sisson and Goal Machine Bailey could have scored a consolation goal towards the end. However it was not meant to be and whilst the team worked hard, it is Harleston who go through to the next round.
