MATCH REPORT
LSHC Mixed v Moulton Pool
Played Home on 25th June 2013Spalding 1st Team 0 v The Ninjas 2
The early game this week pitted the two losing sides from the previous week against each other in a closely fought game. The Ninjas took an early lead through Danny Sisson but Spalding more than held their own with some good incisive wing work, however the Ninjas went in 1-0 up at half time. The second half was another open affair and it was the Ninjas who scored again with another Danny Sisson goal after fine work from Hannah Greenacre. As the game continued chances became easier to find and both sides could have scored. James Cliff in the Ninjas goal kept well and Spalding defended well although Canham should have scored when presented with a chance by Fyson towards the end.
Wisbech 2nd Team 1 v The Pressies 0
Both teams fresh from wins last week came to the game with changed sides. Wisbech settled first and took the game to the Pressies, who defended well but struggle to find a ball out of defence. Just before half time Wisbech took the lead through a good finish from Hugo Atkins and this remained the score for the whole game. The Pressies worked manfully with Mallett, Wiles and Katie Ireland working hard in midfield. Whilst the team were disappointed they did not reach the heights they scaled last week, each player performed better and with a little more team interplay they will become an even harder team to beat.
