Long Sutton Ladies 1st XI opened this game where they left off last week. With the forwards and Midfields working tirelessly they were able to convert one of their chances via a cross from Hastings (M) to Perowne who swept it into the goal to put them 1-0 up at 13mins. Still Sutton worked tirelessly with the fresh legs of Dack and Tilbrook joining the line up to keep the pressure on but were thworted by the Cambs City 6th defence and Keeper. Although at 29 mins they were successful once more through open play coming from the left via Hastings (P) to Perowne who completed a successful one two with Baker (H) who eventually slotted it through the keepers legs.

They started the 2nd half 2-0 up however, Sutton grew tired, even with a 14 strong squad and 10 minutes into the 2nd half Cambs City had an unmarked player who managed to find the corner of the goal via a pass through the centre of the pitch to the top of the D. Suttons defense still worked hard through Baker (L), Hales, Parr and White, Joined by Frost, Norey and Jones they managed to keep them at bay until a shot on goal was intercepted by Baker (L) but unfortunately her attempted clearance placed it past Wallis in the 64th Minute, making it 2-2. Not letting this het their heads down, Sutton kept their spirit and tried to fight back but to no avail, the game ended 2-2. Sutton although disappointed will still take the positives from it into training and next weeks Game at home versus Pelicans 2nd XI.
