MATCH REPORT

The first match of the season and what a great start it was. We started off with first push back. A great start with Long Sutton having possession we were running rings round St Ives. In the first 10 minutes St Ives were given and penalty flick but our great goalkeeper (Ellie)had never had to take a penalty flick before but she saved it with ease. St Ives couldn't get passed out defence Lexi, Julie and Penny they kept the ball out of the D. Passing up the field Esme, Alison, Katie and Annabelle we managed to get it up the field where Georgina passed it to Annabelle who crossed it to Sarah and scored our first goal of the season. With two minutes to go in the first half St Ives manage to get passed our defence and scored their first goal. The second half start strong but with the heat of the day Long Sutton started to struggle Lillie, Katie and Annabelle all shouting for the ball and great positioning never giving up but StIves started to gain possession of the ball and banged 2 more goal in. Esme worked tirelessly and being hit many times throughout the game had to go off which left us with 10 players. StI Ives managed to score another goal. We finished the game 4-1. I couldn't have asked anymore of the team and it was a great start. We will reset and go again next week. Player of the match was Annabelle for great position and asking for the ball. A great start to your season.
