Disappointed with last week's result Long Sutton travelled to local rivals Wisbech and gave a 4 star performance.

They took the game to Wisbech from the start and dominated possession. With Emma Grosvenor back on duty just in front of the defence of Julie Warby Sarah Skate and Lexi Clarke, they ensured that Ellie Sandall just had to stay awake. They were soaking up anything that Wisbech had and moved the ball quickly to the willing runners in midfield of Penny Perowne Katie Whittaker and Lillie-Jayne Tegerdine. The whole team moved up the pitch and kept possession by playing neat triangles before ensuring that they could bring the forwards into play. Annabelle Giles never stopped running picking the ball up from the midfield and running at the Wisbech defence and playing delightful passes to her fellow forwards Aimee Betts and Wendy Canham. A slick move involving Whittaker, Tegerdine and Canham saw the ball swept to the left hand post for Betts to apply the finish.

It was a warm day and Sutton used their whole squad wisely with Chantil Sinclair and Alison Whittaker slotting in seamlessly to ensure the pressure remained on Wisbech. Sutton won a number of short corners and it wasn't long before Katie Whittaker ensured that she was on hand to extend Sutton's lead not once but twice. Sutton were not done, determined to bury last weeks memories and could have extended their lead even further but Giles saw a penalty flick well saved. They did extend their lead however on the stroke of half time when a ball drilled into D was superbly tipped into the goal by Sinclair for 4-0.

In the second half Wisbech did see more of the ball but Sutton kept the substitutions fluid and they continued to let the ball do the work for them. Sandall in goal showed why she is a very promising keeper having done nothing in the first half, but was alert enough to make a number of great clearances to preserve Sutton's clean sheet.

POTM was Aimee Betts for her wonderful running, positioning and determination.
