Sutton started slowly on the water based pitch on Saturday but did string some decent hockey together. An error allowed Harlston the lead and soon after Sutton keeper Clarke injured himself, but remained in the goal and made some excellent saves. However, these were not enough to prevent Harlston scoring a second. Sutton did create some good chances of their own but again the clinical finish deserted them, leaving them 2-0 down going into the second half.

Sutton started well in the second half, but Harlston were used to their pitch and played some lovely hockey creating some more good chances. Harlstone added 2 more, before a lovely move saw Hales pull one back to make it 4-1. Harlston managed to add a 5th before the end of the game to restore the four goal advantage. Sutton played well and will take some positives into next week but Harlston were just too strong on the day.
