MATCH REPORT
LSHC Mens' First v City of Peterborough 3rds
Played Away on 23rd November 2013Sutton will rue their missed chances in this Prem B fixture on Saturday after completely dominating. Sutton started well, controlling the game and moving the ball well. Peterborough tried to catch Sutton on the counter attack but were thwarted by Sutton's defence. Sutton deservedly opened the scoring as a saved Fyson drag flick fell to Harrison who calmly slotted home. Sutton continued to create numerous chances but couldn't find the killer edge. Peterborough equalised. 1-1 HT.
Sutton started the second half as they did the first, pressurising Peterborough and dominating possession. Sutton took the lead as another Fyson drag flick was stopped on the line by the body of a defender. Harrison didn't shirk the responsibility after missing last week and slotted the penalty stroke home giving the keeper no chance. Like the first half Sutton continued to create many chances but Peterborough managed to score two quick goals on the counter to take the lead. They then added a fourth from a very hotly disputed penalty stroke. The score line completely flattered the home team as Sutton should have hit double figures from a dominant display but got none of the spoils as their finishing let them down.
