Sutton came up against league leaders Cambridge on Saturday and they proved exactly why they are topping the table.

Cambridge started well and were gifted the their first two goals from sloppy play by Sutton. Sutton came into the game and threatened the Cambridge goal with some excellent work down the right by Whatling. However, Sutton were again too sloppy in their play as their normal solid, fluid hockey seemed to desert them. 2-0 ht.
The second half saw Sutton have more possession as Hardy covered vast areas of the pitch but they couldn't break down a formidable Cambridge defence. As Sutton tried to press on Cambridge opened them up and added four more goals. Sutton continued to try and and get some consolation with Fyson leading the way but still couldn't crack a superb Cambridge side.
