A lack lustre performance from Long Suttons second team ended with the correct result. Following a weeks rest Sutton's 2nd team were never in the races in a first half which saw St Ives go in 3 up following some exhuberant defending. Sutton showed improvement with St Ives not having a single shot in the second half which was typified with Stefan Fox deflecting a fantastic reverse shot into the top corner. Though the game was being orchestrated by man of the match Jeremy Watt Sutton were unable to put away the numerous chances created. Sutton go into next weeks game against Bourne & Deeping knowing that only a win is acceptable.
