Saturday saw Long Suttons 2nds Host March 2nds.

Sutton seemed a little off the game in the first 10 minutes and somewhat disjointed, possibly down to the absence of 2 key experienced players, last weeks Man of the Match Watt, and attacking midfield commander 'Slinky' Bailey. However this weeks Man of the Match Andy Shore certainly proved his worth stepping up to the plate, Sutton opened the scoring with some excellent work coming from midfield, going into the break Sutton were 2-0 up. With defensive problems from previous weeks adressed Cliff had little to do between the posts but was faultless when called upon, Sutton went on to take a further goal taking the final score line to 3-0, an excellent performance holding 3rd in the table, also many positives taken from the game with what could have seemed a weakened squad but proved far from. Leaving the Skipper and team looking forward to next weeks local derby at Spalding.
