A narrow defeat, but a sterling performance by Sutton's Fourths. Both teams had  chances to score several goals, but good defending all round, especially from the home side's stand-in sweeper, John Sullivan, kept the match scoreless at the interval. The visitors took the lead when Joss Calderbank was undone by a precision near post shot and they doubled the lead when their centre forward squeezed a shot away despite close attention from Lewis Shooter. That signalled the start of a comeback, driven for the home team by a trio of thriteen year olds – Will White and Kane Portass raiding down the right flank and Harry Synnott enjoying his best senior game attacking down the left. Gary Hales drilled a short corner into the goal to reduce the deficit, but the comeback stalled short of giving Sutton a share of the points.
