Sutton knew all was to play for today and the game would be a tough one. As usual the forwards Baker (H) and Perowne and Midfields Hastings (P), Hoyles, Jones and Frost worked tirelessly. Supported by the defence kept trying to penetrate the Wisbech defense. Eventually Baker (L) took a free hit from the left sideline finding Perowne who touched it into the D and reverse swept the ball into bottom right corner. 10 minutes later they go in to half time 1-0 up.
Pushback of the 2nd half was Suttons, Baker (H) passing to Perowne who miss passed it back to a Wisbech player, Sutton were immediately on the back foot, Wisbech played a ball through to a quick waiting forward who took a first time strike at the top of the D, Baker (L) did not make it back in time and were now 1-1. Sutton then had to double their efforts Defence White, Parr, Baker (L) and Gadsden kept the Wisbech attackers from finding the back of the net. Wallis making some impeccably timed saves from open play and short corners Sutton eventually let in a silly scrappy 2nd goal and were 1-2 down. The defence helped support the ball further up the pitch now going 3 at the back. Pushing Baker (L) up, Tilbrook came on to help solidify the Midfield along with Hasting(M) they all kept battling to keep pressure on the Wisbech defense they needed to score, a penalty corner won by Baker (L) was awarded in the last minute. As the final whistle blew, Sutton all pushed up with nothing to lose and a point to be gained. Baker(L) injected the ball to Baker (H) who, qfter stopping the ball herself, took a clear, well struck shot from the top of the D and beat the keeper low to her left, resulting in a final score of 2-2.
