ong Sutton Ladies 1st XI. Hosted Huntingdon and Northstowe 1st XI. The forwards Baker (H) and Perowne and Midfields Hastings, Hoyles, Jones and Tilbrook worked well, with shots from them all going just wide of the posts or intercepted by a very busy keeper, Sutton were kept to 0-0 up to half time.
Sutton had a change in their defense as they lost Gadsden who had a prior engagement so Hunt stepped into right back. Sutton also lost Hastings to a knee injury so all subs were in use for the 2nd half. Once they settled Baker(H) took the ball down the left taking a shot the keeper saved it but it went only so far as Perowne who on the volley put in the back of the net making it 1-0 up at 40 minutes in. A short while after Sutton were hungry for more and Perowne assisted Baker(H) who slotted home their 2nd at 44 minutes. Suttons Defence were now pushing up via Baker(L) taking a quick free hit dribbling into the 25 push a hard slightly bouncy pass to Tilbrook who with great eye and hand coordination slotted the ball home into the bottom left of the goal Sutton are now 3-0 at 52 minutes. With the defence not wishing to be left out Sutton concede a few short corners with Baker and White needing to move their feet. Parr, Hunt and Wallis managed to clear the ball several times. Eventually finding the midfield where the ball got fed down the right finding Baker(H) who fired a cross from the base line across the face where Hales managed to deflect it into the top centre of the goal Sutton were 4 -0 up and had to work solidly for a further 10 minutes to keep the score line and a well deserved 3 points.
