Sutton arrived ready for what they knew would be a challenging game. Despite this as always they started positive from the off.

Julie, Sarah, Penny and Emma were strong in defence not making it easy for Peli’s forwards to break through. The combined efforts from midfield of Lillie, Katie, Alison and Lexii meant that they held the attack off until they scored their first goal from a short corner after 16 minutes. Sutton continued to battle hard with Wendy and Evah swapping into midfield linking up play with forwards Jas and Lily. Due to the pressure from Pelis meant the scoreline at half-time was 3-0.

The game continued with Sutton battling hard with many fantastic saves from keeper Sophie. Unfortunately Peli’s were able to break through and score a further 3 goals.

Looking to take something from the game Sutton made a break with Jas slotting the ball into the back of the net.

Sutton showed great determination and grit, we go again next week away to Newmarket.

POTM this week was shared between 7 of the squad but the votes went to Lexii Tilbrook for a fantastic performance in midfield.
