Sutton started out well, pressurising the the opposition who last year were playing in the East League.

It was a close first half with Horncastle slotting in 2 goals, but Sutton managed some short corners and a flick but were unable to convert them. With the defence working hard and the wings running the lines it was good performance to keep it down to 2 at half time.

Starting the 2nd half Sutton kept there heads up hoping to progress, the midfielders Katie and Lisa tackled well clearing the ball to the forwards Emma and Anna who again earned short corners which unfortunately could not be converted.

Eventually tiredness told and a flurry of late goals resulted in a score line that did not reflect Suttons efforts.
