MATCH REPORT
LSHC Mens' First v City of Peterborough 3rds
Played Home on 15th September 2012Sutton welcomed Peterborough 3's for their first game of the 2012-2013 season who were making history as the first 3rd team to play in Premier B. Sutton welcomed them in style as they dished out a 5-1 thrashing and got off to the perfect start. Both teams started well, creating chances but it was Sutton who broke the deadlock with a quick move from a long corner allowing Andy Shore to deflect a lovely ball from Connor Allen. Peterborough made some good chances of their own but Loweth was on fine form and they couldn't find a way through. Sutton added to their first when Nick Ellis slotted the ball home. Sutton soon added a third through Sisson as Peterborough couldn't cope with their slick passing and movement. 3-0 halftime time. Sutton upped their game again in the second half and played some wonderful hockey. It was no surprise when Sisson added his second after a beautiful team move. Sutton unluckily lost Baguley to a yellow card and sustained 10 minutes of pressure from Peterborough who managed to grab their only goal of the game. Peterborough missed a penalty flick which Sutton felt was justice as it was harshly given. Back to 11 men Sutton found their rhythm again and a lovely ball from Fyson found Sisson who created a lovely opening for Hales to make it 5. A great team performance from Sutton will give them great confidence for the rest of the season.
