Sutton started very slowly in this match and the 2 early goals they conceded turned out to be their undoing. Woodhall dominated the first half and were worth their 2-0 lead at half time.

The second half was written in a different pen though, with experienced players like Rachel Gadsden and Helen Worth working with willing young runners like Player of the Match Millie Lamming and Leah Goodley Sutton more than met the challenge of Woodhall. With two goals from Goodley sandwiching 1 from Gadsden, Sutton scored 3 and could have had more, however they had left themselves too big a hill to climb and the final score reflected the half time deficit.

The spirit the Sutton Ladies showed in chasing the game was commendable and shows a healthy team spirit.
