A young 2nd team struggled to adapt to an atrocious Woodhall pitch and soon found themselves 2-0 down to 2 well worked short corners. Sutton worked hard with the sound defence of Mair Goodge & Jayme Hunt distributing the ball well through Leah Goodley allowing the visiting side to pull back a goal with an Amber Jones goal from the right. Woodhall broke away before half time to make it 3-1.

Sutton came out more positive in the second half and quickly reduced arrears with a Laura Temple goal before losing their keeper to injury as Woodhall went 4-2 up. With 10 players, Sutton battled hard and good work by Millie Lamming and a number of short corners, Rachael Gadsden reduced arrears to 4-3. Sadly Sutton were unable to take their chances in the home circle and with no keeper, Woodhall scored 2 late goals giving an unfair reflection to the scoreline.
