After the long Christmas break, Sutton played the experienced Peterborough side, although Sutton started well and made a few chances, Peterborough's counter attacking play frustrated Suttons defence with their quick, sharp passing. Howell made excellent runs down the right creating chances but Sutton weren't able to find the back board. Peterborough were more clinical and led 3-0 at half time.

Long Sutton again started to work hard and pressured Peterborough with some excellent teamwork between Temple, Goodley, and Jones, but the organised opposition battled hard against the defence, working the ball quickly and keeper CJ into saving some cracking shots, although the final score didn't reflect the game.
