Sutton took none of their fine form from the previous week to Letchworth on Saturday. Sutton started slowly and felt the pressure from Letchworth. Letchworth opened the scoring from a soft short corner but deserved their lead. They soon added a second after again some soft fouls but again deserved their second. Sutton did create some good chances after this but couldn't find their finishing touch of last week. After the break Letchworth continued to play some good hockey and added a third as individual errors and lack of desire cost Sutton. Letchworth scored two more to make it 5 despite valiant efforts from Loweth and Gavaghan. Sutton lacked the quality and team effort they have shown through pre-season but will will regroup and be ready for Norwich on Saturday.
