Sutton started the brighter on Saturday playing some lovely flowing hockey and creating some good chances. It was no surprise when Sisson opened the scoring. Sutton were organised and tireless efforts from Shore and Taylor in the middle allowed Sutton to put Peterborough under pressure. A second followed from a short corner in the style of a sweetly struck thunder bolt from Fyson. Hales made it 3 before halftime and Sutton looked comfortable. Sutton knew Peterborough would come at them in the second half and they did just that. However, against the run of play, Sutton should have put the game to bed as they created some great chances but couldn't find the final touch like they did in the first half. Peterborough managed to find the net twice despite valiant efforts from Cliff in the goal. The game was very open now and the luck was with Peterborough as the ball came into the D it was accidentally kicked into the goal off a Sutton defender. This levelled things up and meant the spoils were shared.
