Finally the second half of the season got under way on Saturday with Sutton celebrating a vital three points. Sutton started brightly, working hard and putting Waltham under a lot of pressure. It was no surprise when Sutton opened the scoring through Fyson, stealing the ball from the Waltham defender and finishing extremely well. Sutton continued to play some nice hockey and created chances whilst their defence kept Waltham at bay.

 1-0 half time.

The second half was a scrappy affair, Sutton not showing the quality they had in the first half and Waltham putting them under pressure. Sutton did double their lead through a wonder strike from Sisson, spinning on a sixpence and smashing the ball into the corner. Waltham got a goal back and pressured Sutton in the last 15 minutes but Sutton held on for the win with a superb man of the match performance from the returning, experienced keeper Simon Clark.
