 Fyson Fires Sutton to victory!

Sutton showed why they shouldn't be fighting relegation on Saturday with a commanding display against Havering. Sutton started brightly and immediately went on the attack causing Havering problems. Sutton broke the deadlock from a penalty corner, Fyson firing in his first of the game. Sutton worked hard off the ball and put Havering under pressure forcing them into mistakes. Sutton soon doubled their lead as Harrison fed Sisson who drew the defence and keeper and slotted to Hales who made no mistake. Havering then pulled a goal back through a penalty corner but this spurred Sutton on and Hales added his second, rounding the keeper and cooly slotting home after good work from Harrison and Ellis. Sisson then got in on the act himself after good work from Hales before Fyson added his second, again from a penalty corner. 5-1 half time.

Havering came out strong after the break and put Sutton under pressure. A few mistakes crept in and Havering scored two goals. Instead of collapsing like previous weeks, Sutton responded well and started playing some of the hockey they showed in the first half. The on-fire Fyson hitting the post and Hales coming close on several occasions. The second half was more open as both teams tired but Suttons work rate and determination shone through. Fyson completed his hat-trick with a few minutes to spare sealing a good win from a great team performance which will help them in their fight for survival.
