 SCINTILLATING SISSON STUNS PETERBOROUGH!!

Long Sutton thumped Peterborough 2nds in this Prem B clash on Saturday, which included a man of the match performance from Danny Sisson . It was Peterborough who started the brighter, however, creating the first chances of the game. Sutton soaked up the pressure, and then started to find the form they have been showing all season, opening the scoring through a delightful Cook deflection. The superb Sisson then got in on the act, adding first and shortly after his second of the game. Peterborough than piled on the pressure, but the fine goalkeeping efforts of the returning Steve Kirkham thwarted numerous chances. Peterborough did manage to score a goal just before half time, but Sutton held out to ensure they went into half time with a healthy lead intact.

After half time, Sutton regrouped and came out in the second half with real purpose, playing some wonderful team hockey. Hales came on for his first appearance of the season, and, with his first touch of the game, scored the teams fourth goal. By now, Sutton were rampant, and it wasn't long until Sisson completed his hat-trick in fine style. Hales then had enough time to add his name to the score sheet again and to leave the score at 6-1. Sutton then successfully weathered all attempts to comeback, completing a marvellous team display. This display from Sutton gave them the result and rewards they've be threatening to get all season.
