Sutton had their work cut out in this Prem B fixture but came away with a well deserved point in Saturday. Sutton knew Uni would have large periods of possession, be fit and not stop until the end. They did exactly this but lacked an end product. Sutton soaked up the pressure and defended well as a team, had the better chances In the first half and should of gone in halftime in the lead. Sutton had more possession in the second half and again had the better chances. Uni opened the scoring very fortunately as a short corner shot was deflected in off Taylor and under Kirkhams foot. Sutton kept to their task as a team, trying to counter attack Uni and it paid off 20 seconds from time as Sisson fed Featherstone who laid the ball to super sub Hales who made no mistake. A very disciplined, hard working team display saw Sutton share the spoils against a strong University side.
