Sutton finished off a strong Premier B season in fine style on Saturday by just ousting the Magpies.

Sutton's strong form continued as they found their fluid, passing hockey straight from the start but were unfortunate to go behind. Sutton responded well and created a number of chances with Cook and Sisson working tirelessly up front. The equaliser soon came as the impressive Hardy glided past several players and rifled a shot into the bottom corner. Again, against the run of play, Magpies took the lead. This only spurred Sutton on even more and they responded with increasing pressure and focus. And as Fyson's shot deflected and looped into the goal, it was exactly what Sutton deserved. Sutton won several short corners and it was only a matter of time before they took the lead through them, Fyson getting his second of the game with a trademark drag flick low into the corner to leave it 3-2 to Sutton at half time.

In the second half, Magpies came at Sutton and put the pressure on. They deservedly equalled things up and nearly took the lead soon after, but Kirkham made an outstanding save to keep the scores level. The game opened up, with Magpies having more of the game, but not really threatening the Sutton goal. Sutton re-found their previous playing form and took the lead; Harrison beautifully stole the ball from the Magpies midfielder and found Sisson, who twisted, turned and slotted the ball to Fyson who emphatically finished to complete his hat trick. Sutton then defended well, and were able to see the game out, edging what was a very enjoyable last game the season to finish 6th overall in what is a major improvement over past seasons.

Skipper Harrison was quoted as saying: "I am extremely proud of my players. They have shown great determination, outstanding team work and the want to further enhance their skills throughout the season. Everything was awesome this season, and we have once again proved why we are the highest ranked team in Lincolnshire."
