Sutton started the game well against a strong 15 man Horncastle squad, enjoying good periods of pressure but unfortuately not making a break through. Work from Matt King, Dave Maris and Jamie Slater ensured Horncastle did not settle. Unfortunately Horncastle took the lead against the run of play and the half finished 1-0.

Early in the 2nd half Horncastle's excellent central midfielder showed his obvious quality by scoring 2 great individual goals in quick succession, however Sutton worked hard and eventually pulled one back through the hard working Jack Smith.
