This 6NW clash saw the welcome return of Dave Maris to the Long Sutton 3rd team. The match started evenly with excellent defending from both sides especially Sutton's Man of the Match Sam Gray and the Spalding keeper.

Towards the end of the 1st quarter, Substitute striker, Ian White pounced on a rebound and made it 1-0, which was the scoreline at halftime.

The second half started with excellent pressure from the Sutton forwards of Ed White, James Slator and Jack Smith and this resulted in a deflected goal from an Ian White short corner strike, there quickly followed a third goal when a rampant White completed his hat trick.

Finally, Dan Fisher flashed in a well struck shot from the edge of the D to seal a comfortable win for Sutton thus consolidating their second spot in the table. The manner of the victory stands them in good stead for the match against their own 4th team next week.
