This entertaining interclub fixture was a close game played by two committed teams. The 4ths can consider themselves unlucky not to have taken something out of this game, which was ultimately decided by a Sam Gray finish in the 2nd half.

For the 3rds, Albert Slator, Ed White and man of the match Mark Simpson stood out, whilst for the 4ths stand out performances came from debutants Sid Turner and Kieran Forrest as well as Harry Thorpe and Ian White.

Chances flowed at both ends and good keeping kept it down to 1-0 with some particularily good keeping coming from short corner saves by Turner in the 4ths goal. Slator in the 3rds goal saved well from a penalty flick.

The result cements the 3rds second spot in the table and gives the 4ths confidence going into their two fixtures before Christmas.
