Sutton's youngsters registered a draw, but will be disappointed not to come away with all three points, having led for most of the game through an Ian White short corner strike. Dan Oldfield was exceptional in defence, closing the attackers down quickly and with a sharp eye for an interception, looking like a young Dan Batten. Stephen Milnes alongside him  is improving markedly with his new-found defensive responsibilities and Harry Synnott had his best game in midfield. Will White and Kane Portass were unlucky not to add to the goal tally. James Baker's intelligent runs into space encouraged a lot of long passes, but Sutton were actually better when they worked the ball through midfield, maintaining possession. In an evenly matched game BourneDeeping equalised when a short corner ricocheted past the otherwise immaculate Joss Calderbank to creep over the line.
