A fine and deserved victory for Sutton's fourths, as they finally fielded a full strength squad and used it to good effect against their high flying visitors. Boston's main weapon was their slick short corner routine, but Sutton netted twice from their own corners, the first being Will White's maiden senior goal from a well-practiced option and the other a John Sullivan thunderbolt. Sullivan notched a second goal and James Baker finally converted one of several chances that came his way from close range. Gary Hales pulled the strings from the centre of the pitch and Joss Calderbank made a couple of outstanding saves. With good performances all over the pitch, notably Steven Milnes and John Goodley in defence and Harry Synnott in midfield, Sutton are finally showing the benefit of the experience gained this season.
