Long Sutton gave their visitors a real fright, before finally succumbing to the experience of high flying Horncastle. A much-changed squad, lacking defensive lynchpin Jeremy Smith saw a debut for Matt Portass and a first tilt outfield for former goalkeeper and club legend Jake Loweth who showed some real quality touches. An Ian White direct short corner strike saw Sutton even take the lead, but Horncastle worked their way back into the game and headed into the break 2-1 up despite some heroics from Joss Calderbank in the Sutton goal.  Good performances from the juniors again, this time with Harry Synnott and Kieran Forrest to the fore, but Sutton's energy levels did drop and the league leaders eventually proved why they sit on top of the Division with three second half goals.
