Wisbech 2nd team 0 - The Ninjas 5

The Ninjas gained revenge for their opening night defeat by Wisbech in some style. Taking the game to their unbeaten rivals from the pushback they never looked back after Danny Sisson's fine finish. Sisson then turned provider with a pass to Jeorgia Carr, who still had lots to do but rounded the keeper and finished with an experienced touch that belied her 13 years. Jimmy Harrison and Jeremy Watt marshalled the defence and midfield with the help of all the Ninja ladies who excelled and the score remained 2-0 at half time. The second half continued much like the first and after good work from the impressive Sisson again Alex Canham made it 3-0 with a deft chip over the Wisbech keeper. Sutton continued to dominate and when Leanne Woodhead and Robyn Gribble combined to pass it to young Carr to drive home her second from a short corner, this was quickly followed by a searching run a strike from Josh Fyson which Carr finished at the back post to give the 13 year old her Hat Trick. An outstanding performance from The Ninjas against a good Wisbech side.

Spalding 1st team 1 - Petes Presidential Picks 1

The early game saw the return fixture of these two evenly matched teams. The Pressies started well and it was no surprise when Mallet opened the scoring with a thunderous shot into the corner of the goal. Featherstone worked his players well and the ladies of the team worked well to keep the score 1-0 at the interval, Sam Carr and Helen Worth in defence, Emma Howell and Louise Billingham offering good options on the wings, Lisa Baker tigerish in the challenge and Becky Kierman and Katie Ireland willing runners up front. Spalding did work themselves level in the second half when Keith Stennett profited from some lax defending but renewed vigour from Wiles and James Ireland saw the Pressies through to a well deserved draw.
