Wisbech 2nd team 2 - Petes Presidential Picks 2

In a well contested game The Pressies managed to fight back from 2-0 down to claim a well earned draw. Both teams started well and either side could have taken the lead but for some excellent defending and goal keeping. It was Wisbech however who took the lead and added a second before half time to go the break with a 2 goal cushion. The Pressies were never out of the game but the adjustments made at halftime allowed the returning Nick Bailey to reduce the deficit after good work from Emma Howell and Katie Ireland. The Pressies pushed on looking for an equaliser and good defending from Helen Worth, Sam Carr and Adam Wiles allowed Featherstone the chance to push forward and link with Bailey, eventually allowing him the chance to level the scores which he duly converted.

Spalding 1st team 0 - The Ninjas 7

The Ninjas dominated this game from the start and they were soon 2-0 up after two excellent strikes from Danny Sisson. They continued to push on with Sisson, Fyson and Baguley looking fresh and Leanne Woodhead dominant at the back. Once again Stef Fox marshalled the team well and when Fyson made it 3-0, the game looked safe. Rhian Goodge had little to do in the Ninja goal, but what she did she did very well earning her clean sheet assuredly. Fyson scored his second, Harrison added a well taken finish and then Sisson followed by Fyson completed their hat tricks to make the final score 7-0. Spalding fought well, but on the night the Ninjas had that little extra quality to give a comfortable final score.
